Dear readers today we will start of with a series that potentially can go on for a long time. Given my previous inclinations towards variety it is for now difficult to predict whether this will actually take place.
Game theory is a mathematical model that breaks down problems into individual actors and imbues these actors with agency. The most simple form is a 2×2 matrix that covers (from the perspective of an all-knowing godhead) the consequences of choices that these actors make.
Crucial in these models or contexts is that the choice of action of each respective agent influences the consequence (“reward” in its technical term) of the other agents.
That is all that we will cover in the first installment. More on Game Theory to come… (godwilling.)
